We deliver online Mental Health First Aid courses designed to support individuals, workplaces, and communities across the UK.
Our Mental Health First Aid courses are delivered to a consistently high standard, with an emphasis on creating a supportive, engaging learning environment where everyone feels comfortable to ask questions and take part.
Our mission is to improve mental health for all by training individuals to become Mental Health First Aiders, enabling them to make a meaningful difference where they work and live.
Founded by Bebba Smithers MSc, PG Cert., Positively Mental Health is a founder-led training provider that combines evidence-based practice with a thoughtful, practical approach to learning.
Our two-day online course is fully accredited and supported by MHFA England®.
Along with interactive training and certification, you will receive a full support pack, including the MHFA England® Mental Health First Aid manual, the MHFAider Support App®, and the Shout text service.
Upon completing this course, you will be ready to start your journey as a practicing Mental Health First Aider, in your workplace or everyday life.

We also offer workplace consultancy to help your organisation take practical steps to support staff and create a mentally healthy, resilient, and productive workplace.

Mental health is part of everyone’s life - it affects how we think, feel, and act each day. Just like physical health, it can be strong and steady, challenging at times, or develop into a longer-term condition.
Good mental health helps us cope with challenges and stay connected, while poor mental health can make everyday tasks feel harder. When these difficulties last longer or have a bigger impact, they may be considered mental ill health.
Mental Health First Aiders are trained to recognise when someone may be experiencing poor mental health and to offer first-level support and early intervention.
Mental Health First Aiders are trained to spot when someone might be struggling and offer friendly, first-level support.
They listen with empathy, have supportive conversations that reduce stigma, and help guide people to professional help.
They also respect boundaries and confidentiality, practise self-care, and use tools like the MHFAider Support App® and the Shout text service, with ongoing opportunities to build their skills.
